Agentic Execution

Agentic Execution examines how the enterprise operates when work is delegated to systems capable of inference, context assembly, and action. The publication begins with the decision to delegate and the boundary of agentic execution, establishing that an agent is not the system — execution requires an architecture around the model, not the model alone.

The middle chapters define that architecture: the execution system that carries work from intent to action; the state, memory, and provenance that keep execution accountable; the authority model that governs delegation; and the agent control plane through which the enterprise directs, observes, and constrains agentic work. Operability follows — the mixed agent enterprise, recovery as a business capability, and assurance at the action boundary.

The economic chapters establish accepted outcomes as the unit of value and derive the measure of agentic economics: cost per accepted outcome, where human, model, infrastructure, review, and recovery costs are weighed against the outcomes the enterprise accepts. Capacity released by agentic execution needs a destination, and the review burden an enterprise carries reveals its operating maturity.

The concluding chapters turn to the executive architecture: how the enterprise builds agentic capability deliberately — beginning with a valuable outcome, designing the workflow around it, establishing the operating envelope, building shared enterprise capabilities, and expanding on evidence. The publication closes with the adaptive agentic enterprise: an operating condition that evolves with capability, built around outcomes, accountability, and the deliberate composition of human and machine capability.
